ANNUAL FREE MEDICAL CAMPS
Halala collaborates with local dispensaries and hospitals to sponsor free medical screening and treatment to areas in need. Our hosts provide personnel and our group provides medicine through an on-site pharmacy that dispenses medications as prescribed by the physicians. The camps are aimed at eradicating treatable diseases through community education programs and early detection exercises. Location of clinics represents need and members origin. This year 2023 Halala will be in Mombasa County Kenya to extend our love to those who need medical screenings but cannot afford it. To date we have chapters in Nairobi, Kakamega and US.
Since 2004, our journey has taken us to Kakamega, Bunyore, Gatanga, Busia, Kisii ,Mount Elgon and Machakos which has benefitted over 10,000 patients.
At the end of each clinic, we challenge local professionals to embark on self-help project like ours in the communities they came from.
Our volunteers at Halala comprises of medics and members from all occupations in our communities who share the same vision. They dedicate their time and money to sponsor the programs.FUNDING SOURCE:Ø Member contribution.Ø Friends and well-wishers.
